Uploading url to Reporting Services portal

Hi all,

We want to add some urls to our the reporting services portal (documentation, links to other reports outside SSRS, etc...)

This can only be done by uploading it as a (url) file, it looks to me. You can't add the link directly (as is the case in Sharepoint or Teams). Or am I overlooking something here?

When uploading some of the urls we get the message: path too long which is unexpected because when adding the same url to Sharepoint or Teams this error doesn't occur.

Does anyone know how to solve this one way or another?

We are working with SSRS2017 (not integrated with Sharepoint).

Regards,

Danny Casteels

    Hi @Danny Casteels

Do you mean to use the upload function on the web portal to upload the url? I found no relevant information. The report server's Web portal provides upload functionality so that reports and other files can be added to the report server without having to publish the items from the client application. You can check this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/reports/upload-a-file-or-report-report-manager?view=sql-server-ver16.

How about creating a report and adding a hyperlink to the URL in the report? Please check this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-design/add-a-hyperlink-to-a-url-report-builder-and-ssrs?view=sql-server-ver16.
