    I uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times too

    In that case the link is now broken. Assuming a work / school account an admin can reset it here.

    Sounds like a numbers matching scenario.

    Might be an older outdated authenticator is being used.

    Got hold of the call centre and they were able to help me to bypass the authenticator sign on and it has worked since then.
