How to export a Web Excel sheet to Outlook using TypeScript?

Hello,

I need help with the final step in the EoD report I have created. The EoD is written up in excel, its full of info on the amount of hours we worked on different builds, employee breakdowns, etc.

I have been trying to find a way to use TypeScript to export the sheet into an Outlook email. I know you can do that with desktop Excel and VBA, but I cant find details about how to do that with Web Excel and TypeScript.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Samantha,

You can accomplish the task you want using Office.JS inside of excel to get the cell contents and then using the Microsoft Graph to create and send an email.

That said, you may find it easier to accomplish the same task using PowerAutomate. You can create a flow that will read an excel spreadsheet, grab rows and then use a different task to compose and send the email.

Thank you for the comment. I had first tried with PowerAutomate but it doesnt seem to do what I want.
PowerAutomate can yes extract data but its pretty limited in how it interacts with excel.
If I have PA pull all the data and plop it into the outlook commands, I would need to figure out the HTML scripts to actually format that.

What I have been trying to figure out is how to put this into an email and look exactly the same. (I have made everything generic but this structure is accurate for my intention.)

How would I get this exact thing to appear in outlook?
