HI everyone,
Hope you can help. I am still stuck in the sql upgrade project. I upgrade SQL 2014 to 2019. I was forced to uninstall reporting services with no choice during the upgrade, so I add the reporting service (from the 2019 cd) and reconfigure it by the SQL Reporting Services Configuration Manager. I did point it back to the original reporting and reporting tempdb database, restore the key... I tried the report server link itself and I could see all the custom reports there without any issue. I assume the reporting services is in good shape.
I have an IIS server with a 3rd party program to retrieve some reports from the application. It generates the following error (see the attached pic) regarding to reporting services 2005. Do you know what that error is? I am not a developer so I am not good at coding. WOuld it be any chance the 3rd party app still using some reporing 2005 coding which is not compatible with reporting 2019 (I am just guessing so please do not consider it if I am wrong).
I really run out of clues on this.... Hope you can help.

Ask that the 3rd party software vendor support; we can't answer that.

Thank you for response. I also wrote an email to them but no response yet. I put down my problem here because I am not sure if it is really related to the SQL upgrade itself or if it is related to their codes.... I have been stuck in this.

I don't quite understand the error on the http side. Regarding 404 errors, I found this link for you: https://www.lifewire.com/404-not-found-error-explained-2622936. For more detailed information, you can go to other tags for help.

Thank you for your response! My guess is that the IIS tried to get to "somewhere" but it cannot find and display the result. I think that is certainly related to the SQL reporting services issue...which I am thinking the 3rd software vendor should get involved as Olaf suggested in his post. I will try to leave my question on for a short while to see anyone else can give me some suggestions on the reporting services before closing this ticket.
