Set-AzDataFactoryV2 : HTTP Status Code: Conflict during deployment

Hi,

I received the conflict error due to a non-unique name for my data factory during deployment in DevOps. However, when I tried creating the data factory manually through the Azure portal, it accepted the name (I received the green checkmark). Why would my deployment fail but I can create the data factory manually while using the same name?

Thanks,

Carl

Hi @Carl Smith - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here.

I understand that you're facing a conflict error while doing deployment.

Follow the below steps in order to troubleshoot:

    1. Try to re-deploy the ADF once again with same name which was causing an issue earlier (Note: Kindly make sure that the same name is not used by another resource)
    2. If the error still persists try using a different name and deploy the ADF again.
    3. If the above steps fail to resolve your issue, please let us know the process that you are following in order to create the ADF, we will look into it and try to help you in fixing the issue.
    4. In case, if you are experiencing the same issue after re-creating from the AzureDevops. Kindly share the stack-trace of the error message which you are seeing and also add the screenshot.

I hope this information helps you resolve the issue. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
