Can't connect to Windows Server 2019 from Windows 11 22H2 after installing WSL.

Hello,

I recently installed Windows 11 22H2, and after the installation, I verified my connection to my Windows Server 2019 via RDP, and it was working fine. However, after installing WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), I encountered an issue where I can't connect to the server anymore. The server reports "invalid credentials."

I am still able to connect from xfreerdp and through the Microsoft Store app available at here. Microsoft Sandbox is also working fine for connecting.

However, I'm unable to connect using the original mstsc.exe . I tried disabling UDP as suggested here: here, but that didn't resolve the issue.

Can you please provide guidance on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

    Hello there,

This is a known issue with this update.

The only workaround for now is to copy c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll from a Windows 2019 machine to the same location on your 22H2 machine. You may have to take ownership of the 22H2 versions of the files in order to be able to overwrite those files.

You can also disable the UDP connection to see whether the issue is resolved.
