Document Collaboration AutoSave issue

Question

We are working on utilizing the SharePoint Document Collaboration native feature however when people are collaborating together the file goes on freeze document because of autosave every second feature. The file with more than 10mb is impossible to collaborate features. Will you please advise if any of you are experiencing and workaround ? The word or excel file keeps crashing when 5-6 members start collaborating.

Is there a way to configure the autosave frequency from admin center..? From one second to 4-5 seconds.

Currently there is no such configuration to set autosave frequency in sharepoint. To improve the performance of Document Collaboration in SharePoint, you can take following steps

1. Make sure every users are using the latest version of Office.
2. Check if the issue is caused by add-ins.

If the issues still exist, this might be related to a certain tenant. This will need to be checked from the backend. You could escalate this issue to the related team by creating a support ticket in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center via Global Admin, the support engineers there have the correct escalation channel and this is the most efficient way to report such a back end issue for Microsoft 365 Online Services.
