Hi,
My mail address and login name are different, but outlook does not ask for login name in the section that asks for password, it assumes that my mail address is the same as the login name. I cannot add my mail address to outlook in any way. Is there any way to do this or do I have to give up outlook?

Ensure that Microsoft Outlook is completely closed.
Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.outlook.exe /resetnavpane and press Enter.
I tried exactly what you said, but to no avail. Anyway, this problem had nothing to do with the navigation panels.
when I add a new account, it asks for the e-mail address. on the next screen it asks for the password.
it says "problem occurred" because the account name and login name are different.
When I press "change account settings" there is no option to change user login.
To give an example; my e-mail address is @mailadresi.com here it automatically sets the login as "@mailadresi.com". whereas the user name of the e-mail address is "yusuf15"
i need to be able to change the login name in outlook manual mail settings.
