Hi,

My Windows 10 Ent 1909 shows no Internet on the connection status in the right hand corner globe, but actually Internet is working fine with Internet Explorer. Does anyone have any idea about why this happened?

Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

Based on your description, I understand that your windows 10 is showing no internet connection e.g. But indeed you can access internet with browser, right? Please correct me if my understanding was wrong.

Before we go further, may I know which network type does your windows 10 belong to? Public, private or domain? If belonging to domain network, any other domain member PC’s having this kind of problem?

Does your application(like outlook) work well connecting to internet?

You could update your windows client to the latest OS version to see if the issue can be resolved.

Or you could try to enable both active and passive probes DWORD value under the following registry key to see if the issue can be resolved. If these keys weren't existed, please create per below value.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator

    Key name: DisablePassivePolling
    Key Type: DWORD
    Value: Decimal 0

    Key name: NoActiveProbe
    Key Type: DWORD
    Value: Decimal 0

Hope my answer will help you.

    Best Regards,
    Sunny
