Safe link blocks cam and mic setting?

Hi Everyone,

Maybe someone experienced similar issue.

So we have an integrated app that offers online learning.

Using the app admin can send course/meeting email invitation with link to MS Teams.

The invite email contains 2 links - direct - in the form of https://teams.microsoft.com/, and a button/calendar entry and is in the form of https://deu01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/ap/...

When clicking on the direct link, browser or native MS Teams app opens and all the meeting settings are fine.

However, when trying to open it via the button in the email or later, after meeting being accepted, from calendar, MS Teams app opens but camera and microphone settings in the meeting are greyed out/disabled on the user side - meaning the user can't participate in the course/meeting.

Out MS Teams policies don't block cam or mic access.

Maybe someone has seen something similar.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @PT Maliborski

Based on your description, we believe that the problem may occur in the safe link that prevents the camera and microphone from being turned on in the meeting. This may be due to restrictions due to some security reasons.

Please try to bypass the secure link according to these two documents:
