I have v_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE which display Microsoft Edge version 198.0.1108.56

Why this difference?

Thanks,
Dom

    Hi, @Duchemin, Dominique

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

The reason for the difference in Microsoft Edge version numbers between Resource Explorer and v_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE is that they are pulling the version number from different sources.

Resource Explorer is displaying the version number of the currently installed version of Microsoft Edge, while v_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE is displaying the version number of the last version of Microsoft Edge that was installed on the device. This means that the version number displayed in v_GS_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE may not be the same as the currently installed version.

You may compare the view v_Add_Remove_Programs with the Resource Explorer.

There is no different when you are viewing the same nodes within resource explorer as within Sql.
