Maybe you can right-click this one, and click "remain on this computer forever". I have tried this way to solve this problem.
0x8004016c error for creating shared with me onedrive folders on local file explorer
I previously had access to onedrive folders that were subfolders to our main office onedrive folder. I had access to several subfolders on the local file explorer on the computer and I wanted another subfolder added to the local file explorer as I needed access to these subfolders more for my job than others that were shared with me.
The file layout is as follows:
Main company folder
sub folder1
sub folder2>sub folderA: Folder that I had a link to on my local file explorer.
sub folder3>sub folderA: Folder that I had a link to on my local file explorer.
sub folder3>sub folderB
sub folder3>sub folderC: Folder that I wanted a link added to my local file explorer.
I managed to add a link to sub folderC under Sub folder3, but the other 2 folders lost the link showing that the folders were syncing to the company folder. I then tried to get the folders back using the unlink and relink process, but couldn't get the folders to properly link. I then unlinked my account and clicked on the sync under the folder and it brought up the specific folder to add to the local file explorer, but now it is giving a 0x8004016c error and will not sync the specified folder.
I only want certain folders on the local file explorer as I mostly deal with files in those folders and I don't really need access to other folders, but it now keeps giving me this 0x8004016c error.

Removed a quick acces button in explorer and everything worked as usual !
Good luck and don't blow up the Microsoft head office, be patient.
