Everything on my Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2 works except the tip. The side button, back eraser button, and LED light works (indicating that the pen is charging). The back eraser button is still able to be detected by my screen and properly erases writing. However, the tip is not able to be detected nor does it write on the screen. I have looked at other threads related to my question and nothing has worked; I have uninstalled the drivers for the pen, restarted my Surface Pro 8, ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, kept my device up to date with most recent system updates, disconnected/connected my pen to my device, reinserted the tip into my pen multiple times, and blown air into the connective port of the pen (where the tip is inserted) to prevent debris.
I have done research and discovered that excessive removal and insertion of the tip into the pen can cause internal damage that could cause the pen to no longer function properly. Given this is a probable reason for my pen's malfunction, would it be best to buy a set of replacement tips or buy a new pen entirely? The warranty for my devices has already expired. At this point in time, what are my possible options to fix this issue? I have tried everything.
Thank you.
