I can set a quota for a folder using file server resource manager, but that is not what I want to do. That will set an overall quota on a folder I believe.

What I want is to be able to set a quota of 100MB per user on a shared folder.

Is this possible? Interestingly a google search returns nothing on a per user quota

You can not assign quota per user though FSRM.
Quota are assigned into folder level(folder path) as FSRM.

    For further reference check here

If you need manage per user quota, then you have to create folders per user.

    Hi @Blue_Lou ,

I assume you're referring to quotas in File Server Resource Manager (FSRM)?
In FSRM you cannot set a quota limit per user, it is only possible to set the quota on a volume.
