SSPR issue when hitting the Reset Password it comes back with error 'Something went wrong, try again later'

This started happening in the last few months. Odd thing is that laptops I was testing this on 6 months ago were all good and they are still working properly but any new device I am trying to configure with this, comes back with this error on logon screen. I can test that my user and the default user can access the 'Password Reset URLs'. It feels like problem with the defaultuser1 as it creates defaultuser100000 instead.. I have literally tried everything and contacted MS support in Entra, Intune and Admin Centre with no help at all. Can I get help in here? Did anyone had the same issue?

Hi @Vas Petrucha-Rourke to troubleshoot this issue, you can use the dsregcmd command to understand the state of devices in Azure AD. The output from this command can provide valuable information about the Primary Refresh Token (PRT) and other diagnostics related to the issue. If anything is broken here, this should find it.

You can also check the Azure AD logs for any error messages or failed attempts related to the SSPR process.

If none of this works, please send me an email at "azcommunity@microsoft.com" with subject "ATTN: James Hamil" and your subscription ID. I can open a free support ticket for you.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I can help you further.

    Thank you,

    James

    This is resolved now.

I have found this being a 3rd party software ADSelfService and its latest version causing this issue. On test devices, once it corrupted the Default user profile it would not work so I had to re-create that one from windows iso. That resolved the issue with default profile creation.

Uninstallation of the 3rd party software made SSPR work on PCs that I have not tested this.
