Azure Reserve instance flexibility for M-Series Instances

Hi All,

we are looking to purchase 3YRIs on Standard_M64dms_v2 but wants assurance we can leverage RI Flexibility to upgrade the RI to larger M-Series Instances should our technical requirements grow.

Please can the team advise if we are able to modify 3 Year Reserve Instance purchases for the following upgrade scenarios:

  1. Upgrade 3YRI from Standard_M64dms_v2 to Standard_M128dms_v2
  2. Upgrade 3YRI from Standard_M128dms_v2 to Standard_M208s_v2
  3. Upgrade 3YRI from Standard_M208s_v2 to Standard_M416ms_v2

    Hi Omer,

    Unfortunately, the four VM sizes you mention are in different instance flexibility groups so you would not be able to leverage the same Reserved Instance for all of them. Please reference table below where you can see that Instance flexibility group is different for each of them:
