Patryk Leśniewski Greetings & Welcome to microsoft Q&A forums!
I would like to use Azure Translation to translate short books and brochures in PDF (from English to German). Is it possible?
It is possible to use Azure Translation to translate PDF documents from English to German. However, it is important to note that the Azure Translation service has a limit on the size of the document that can be translated. Please see Service limits for Azure AI Translator Service for more details.
To translate your PDF document, you can use the Document Translation feature in Azure Cognitive Services Language Studio. This feature allows you to interactively translate documents from local or Azure blob storage**.**
Did you check the blogpost Translate documents using Azure Document Translation already?
Once you have set up the necessary resources, you can use the Document Translation feature to translate your PDF document. The feature supports several file formats, including PDF, and allows you to translate documents in several languages, including English and German.
What's the easiest way to do this? Can I use the $200 I received from Azure for these translations?
Please see What is Azure AI Translator. Regarding the $200 you received from Azure, it depends on the type of subscription you have. If you have a free trial subscription, you can use the $200 credit to try out any Azure service, including Document Translation. However, if you have a pay-as-you-go subscription, you can use the $200 credit to pay for any Azure service, including Document Translation.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
