I am using East US region for Azure OpenAI service:
I can see text-embedding-ada-002 in the model tab:
But, when I add data files for the Chatbot, I want to select embeddings model for semantic search. And, I don't see any of the embedding models the dropdown:

Hi, I have faced very similar, however, different in nature, problem!
So, In Azure Foundry, I have created an embedding model.
Then, when I go for vector embedding from my container in Azure Portal, I can not select this model.
I am in free trial with 200 credits, for learning purpose. However, I can not vectorize it as it is showing no model is available.

Having the same issue that the embedding model is deployed but it doesn't show up in the Azure search ai screen .. please provide a resolution i see earlier comments being un-answered since April :(

Can you confirm for which model you are adding data files? and in which region your Azure Search resource is located?
Also, Did you deploy the text-embedding model already to pre-populate in the drop-down?
@AshokPeddakotla-MSFT Thanks for your comment! I had not deployed text-embedding model initially. Now, I am able to use it.

I have the same question. I can't see the list of available Embedding models in my drop-down list

Hi @AshokPeddakotla-MSFT I am facing the same issue even though my model is already deployed. Can you please help?
Dilip & Shruti Bharti You need to deploy the model first to pre-populate in the dropdown list.
Make sure deployments shows successful.
So the issue was, I did not use text-embedding model and instead used gpt model and hence the issue. It worked after that. Thanks @AshokPeddakotla-MSFT for the help

even after deployment i dont see the option for open in playground option

I was wondering if there is any fix for this issue. I'm having the same problem.
I deployed "text-embedding-3-large" model and it shows in my deployed models in open ai studio but in the ai search service, it cant find it when I try to import and vectorize!
