Hi, Does anyone know how to add selected systems to enable change tracking? I have added it using automation account however it just added to default computer groups in log analytics workspace. Also I noticed that there is change tracking solution added in workspace however solution targeting is disabled because it's deprecated.

Thanks

    Hi, User

You can enable Change Tracking (using the new Azure Monitor Agent) using Policy and a data collection rule.

    Hello!

To add selected systems to enable change tracking, you can follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to your Automation account and select either Inventory or Change tracking under Configuration Management.
    2. Choose the Log Analytics workspace and Automation account and click Enable to enable Change Tracking and Inventory. The setup takes up to 15 minutes to complete.
    3. From your Automation account, select Inventory or Change tracking under Configuration Management.
    4. Click + Add Azure VMs and select one or more VMs from the list. Virtual machines that can't be enabled are grayed out and unable to be selected. Azure VMs can exist in any region no matter the location of your Automation account.
    5. Click Enable to add the selected VMs to the computer group saved search for the feature. For more information, see Limit Change Tracking and Inventory deployment scope.

Regarding the change tracking solution being deprecated, you can use the new Azure Monitor solution for Change Tracking and Inventory. You can find more information about it in the following link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/insights/solution-change-tracking-inventory.
