Hi,
I am preparing to move an AWS EC2 Linux server to an Azure server, and I learned about the Azure Migrate service, which is great, but the Azure Migrate procedure produces a new Azure VM. Can we use a previously generated fresh Azure Linux VM for this process?

When I go through Azure migrate process, I could see it creates a new VM in Azure portal. But I already have an Azure VM created, can we use that in this process?

Short answer: With Migrate you cannot do that.
Why do you want to use other new VM? And not the one created in the Migration process?
What you can do is after the migration detach the VM disks and attach to another VM and afterwards delete the newly created VM

you can test if it works with your vm. use the AWS VM export to a format supported by azure

then import in Azure
