The cluster service detected a problem with the witness resource. The witness resource will be failed over to another node within the cluster in an attempt to reestablish access to cluster configuration data.

Hi Everyone,

We have configure Windows failover cluster on file server.

We have total 2 Nodes in cluster. When we move roles from Node1 to Node2 it will get moved without any error & users able to access Shares.

Problem is when we shutdown Node1 keeping Roles on Node2 the cluster is going down, below are the event id got generated

Event id 1558,Event id 1069,Event id 1177,Event id1795,Event id 1573,Event id 1653,Event id 5398 ,Event id1146

    Hey,

    Make sure that Node2 have proper connection to the Witness. I would recommend you to run cluster validation and see if your cluster have any issues. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-server-2012-r2-and-2012/jj134244(v=ws.11)

    In addition, you can use StarWind VSAN to create replicated LUN, which can be used as a disk witness on your nodes.
