We are looking for an app that can be assigned to user flow for external users to signup for. Ideally any microsoft app or any sample app that can be registered solely for self-service signup?

However, you can make the required changes in your application and can use the same sample for both AD and Azure AD B2C.

When you click on Azure AD B2C in your Azure AD tenant. You will be able to see that this is not B2C directory.

In B2C tenant you will get Azure AD B2C tenant details
