Autopilot device registration through MS Partner Center fails

Hello community,

I'm a reseller and often do Autopilot registrations for my clients, mainly related to notebooks from Microsoft, Dell, HP and Lenovo.

The registration is being done in the MS Partner Center where we have an established relationship to the clients with the CSV file that contains information like manufacturer, model number and serial number.

In most cases this works fine, but recently had some issues with Lenovo notebooks where the registration failed. We adjusted the CSV file and tried several different combinations (that normally work) but sometimes can't find a workaround.

I think it should normally work with these devices as we are talking about usual models like Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 2.

Did someone maybe had similar issues and knows a workaround?
I'm not a professional with Autopilot but somewhere heard the OEM (like Lenovo) has to share device information with Microsoft and only when this has happened the Autopilot registration can be successful. Is that true or just a bad rumor?

I'm grateful for every advice.

Thanks a lot.
