Hello to the forum,

I would like some assistance with the following problem:

For development purposes, I would like to set up a Hyper-V on my machine (Windows 11) with a second Windows 11 Pro.

I have created Hyper-V and loaded the iso of Windows 11. The installation process was successful.

The process aborts when I try to connect my machine to the Hyper-V server.

I then get a blank screen on which to shut down the computer.

But no(!) login is possible.

I have tried resetting Windows on the Hyper-V without success.

How can I solve the problem?

Thanks a lot for the support!

Regards

Kay

Please make a right click on the virtual machine as listed by Hyper-V Manager, make a click on "Settings...". On the left panel make a click on Security. and on the right side of the window uncheck a feature named "Enable secure boot". To do that you need to power off the VM first.

Make sure you have created an external virtual switch on Virtual Switch Manager, and make sure the Network Adapter of the VM is assigned to that switch. Make sure the IP address of the VM is compatible with the IP of your computer. Make sure firewall settings or security software on the VM and in your computer allow RDP, Ping connections.

    Try that. Hope it helps.

    Hi Kay Gräf,

Since the VM has already booted to Windows 11 the issue looks more related to the guest OS than the VM. Please boot the VM from the Windows image and select Repair your computer > Troubleshoot to repair the guest OS.

    Best Regards,
