IPv6 not being detected on whatismyip.com

Dear All,

ipconfig1 IPv4 Primary 10.5.0.6 (Dynamic) 20.121.59.195 (CLNT-ip)



v6 IPv6 Secondary fd00:e3d:b915:1::4 (Dynamic) 2603:1030:20e:3::202 (IPv6-CLNT)

Even after having ipv6 on NIC , whatismyip not detecting v6 public address, any guess what could go wrong ?

I understand that you would like to check if your VM is using an IPv6 for outbound connection or not.

It could be possible that the site you were using to detect IP was not capable of detecting IPv6.

The best way to check this is to,

Open CMD as admin

curl -4 https://ifconfig.me

curl -6 https://ifconfig.me

or Use a browser and access "https://ifconfig.me"
