So far the focused inbox has never suggested anything of any importance to me and has, in fact, managed to make it much harder for me to find actually important email, so I'd like to find a way to have it disabled by default. Is there a way to do that? I've already stopped using outlook on mobile since the app kept feeding me advertisements, if I can't get the desktop app to stop completely scrambling my inbox in a way that makes it impossible to use I'm just going to give up on ms email clients all together.

Nevermind. The new outlook is sending me adds, will be deleteng and will no longer be using microsoft email clients, I'm done. Interface is terrible and it's now charging for an add free experience that used to be free. Bad experience all around.

    Hi @mrfeet ,

    Welcome to our forum!

so I'd like to find a way to have it disabled by default. Is there a way to do that?

As i know, we can turn off focus Inbox directly in New Outlook or Legacy Outlook:

In addition, i notice that you have some problems with New Outlook, what exactly are you encountering? If you don't like the layout of New Outlook or whatever, it's suggested that you could turn off New Outlook button to switch to Legacy Outlook.
