Hello @maryfaith Mgbede ,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.
I understand that you are unable to connect to Azure VPN Client on Mac M2 (Apple Chip), 2022 but are able to connect successfully on Macbook Pro, 2018 (Intel chip).
This is a known issue with Apple silicon Macs (M1 or M2).
To fix this issue, you need to Install Rosetta 2 on your Mac M2:
If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac - Apple Support
If you face issues installing Rosetta 2 you should reach out to Apple Support.
The root cause for this issue is:
If Rosetta is not installed on the machine, the mactunnelextension
plugin will not be able to launch.
Rosetta doesn’t come pre-installed on Apple Silicon M1 or M2 Macs. This means you will have to download and install it on your own.
What is Rosetta?
Rosetta 2 enables a Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for a Mac with an Intel processor.
NOTE: Documentation is planned on being updated but since this is not an Azure VPN Gateway issue, the PG team is looking for a better way to incorporate this information.
Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
