Error 2002 in Outlook

Hello, when launching Outlook 365 I receive a 2002 error, followed by this message:

Correlation Id: ea59e6c3-2f26-43b9-859b-72947c570971

Timestamp: 2023-09-25T08:41:23.000Z

The access via web works fine as well as Outlook for IOS.

I am also having this issue repeatedly across my Dell Laptop and my Surface Pro. Error 2002.

Then when I try to do a new profile, it fails and says " we couldn't set up your account automatically" and I cannot fix the issue???

Also strange as 1st time was my Surface, then now it is my XPS,

Web and Mobile email both synching fine and when the other devise has the 2002 issue the other one is fine (my surface is fine now, currently XPS now has this issue).

Can Microsoft get resolved as is a seriously annoying issue.

Hi

i am getting the same 2002 outlook error on a customer laptop. they have a private win10 machine. they have a few personal imap accounts connected to their outlook. they want to add a microsoft business account to outlook but it always fails with the 2002 error. i tried to reinstall office but no luck...it works fine on OWA

Navigate to the location below:
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Microsoft

Cut the OneAuth and IdentityCache folders out of the Microsoft folder and paste it to somewhere else like your desktop.

Relaunch Outlook and sign in.

If the issue is still there, close Outlook and copy the OneAuth and IdentityCache folders back into the Microsoft folder mentioned above but select NO when you are asked if you want to overwrite.

THis answer can fix it!

What type of account are you using (POP/IMAP/Exchange)?

Please also kindly check whether you have updated your Outlook to the latest version, if not please try it and then check the result.

Based on the error code, it seems that there is something wrong with your Outlook profile. This can be caused by various reasons, such as corrupted data files, incompatible add-ins, or outdated software. If the issue continues, please try to create a new profile, and add your account to the new profile and check if the same error still occurs.

Outlook for Windows: Create an Outlook profile.

Outlook for Mac: Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac.

I have also encountered a similar issue recently where Office 365 fails to recognize and displays error code 2002. Do you have any solutions for this problem?

I also meet this issue in PC reset outlook profile didnt work also error . Must creat a new user account in win10 then can work normally.

How could fix this issue without creat new windows account?

I also have diconnect O365 account in setup and re sign in in O365 also didnt work.
