Hello,

I am seeking assistance with an Azure SQL DB that doesn't have public access; it is on a private endpoint. I need to connect Power App and Power Automate to this SQL DB. Can you please help me with the steps required for this connection?

@Hussein Safa Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A.

My understanding is that you are trying to connect to power app/Automate with Azure SQL DB created with private endpoint.

I have tried to reproduce that from my end. Please see the steps below.

You will need to create an Azure SQL DB with private access first.

Then click on Power app Tab which will direct you to the page below where you will fill out the details.

Click on set server firewall to create a virtual network and private endpoint first.

After the virtual network and prate endpoint are created then you can try to reconnect by click on the create tab.

Thank you for the ask. You cannot import an existing app in the azure portal. Instead, if you have an azure app already created you can connect from Power App.

1.In Power Apps, you can create a new connection to your Azure SQL Database by going to the "Data" tab and clicking on the "New connection" button. Then, select "SQL Server" from the list of available connectors and enter the connection details for your Azure SQL Database.

2.Create a data source: After creating the connection, you can create a new data source in Power Apps by going to the "Data" tab and clicking on the "Add data source" button. Then, select the connection you created previously and enter the details for your Azure SQL Database.

3.Create a new app or modify an existing app: Once you have created the data source, you can create a new app or modify an existing app to use the data source. You can do this by going to the "Apps" tab and selecting the appropriate app. Then, add a new screen or modify an existing screen to display data from your Azure SQL Database.

Please let me know if that helps. If not, please comment below with your question so we can continue to work on the same.

    Regards,

    Oury
