Hello,
I see the same questions asked by some friends, and I've tried all the ways based on what I saw in similar questions. It didn't work out for me. Please find attached the details and summary files. I appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

I see this:

File 'C:\SQL2022\Express_ENU\x64\setup\x64\sql_engine_core_inst.msi' does not exist

I've seen people running into this before, but not understood why. But anyway, this file should be part of the download, so somehow it has been deleted.

Start the installation program, and select the option Download media. Once you have downloaded the ISO, double-click it so that it gets mounted as a disk and then run it from that disk. And then we will see what happens.

I am pretty new to these things. Can you direct me to how I can download the ISO?

Sorry, I'm more used to working with Developer Edition. With Developer Edition, you get the ISO file when you select Download Media. With Express, you get an EXE file. I would suggest that you try Developer Edition instead. The point with the ISO is that it makes it more difficult for the little green file-eater (or whatever it is) to snatch the file.

By the way, what hardware do you have?

I just tried with the developer edition, downloaded the ISO file and installed it. The same error code 1639 still insisted. Please check the attached files for a screenshot and summary file. Thanks.

Do you also have detail.txt?

The hardware is OK. The reason I asked is that another poster who ran into the same error as you turned out to have Mac running Parallels, which is a difficult, close to impossible, case.
