I am working on a Mac where my employer wants to migrate from virtural machine to Azure. When adding a workspace, I am prompted to sign into a Microsoft pop-up. Then I receive a pop-up "certificate validation failed". I am taken to a "suspicious activity detected" window. I select the "Verify" button. On the "Verify your identity" window, I select ."Use a certificate or smart card." Then I am returned to the "Certificate validation failed" pop-up.

I would add using the Azure Cloud Shell to the list of troubleshooting steps as that removes environment issues and addresses sign-in/authentication as the first step.
