We have a resource group to explore the ADF and Azure SQL Server.
Trying to create ADF with default settings. Everything is correct.
Error is very short not sure what to try.

Are you using the Azure Portal to deploy the ADF?
If yes, did you select "Enable encryption using a Customer Managed Key" during the deployment?

Check the encryption settings within your Azure Data Factory resource. Pay special attention to any encryption-related configuration, such as Data Lake Storage encryption or Azure Key Vault integration.

Honestly turned out I fat fingured while pasting the key vault url.
