Sign in for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program problems

Question

When signing up for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program which I do for education purpose I get the following error:
We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:

• We have already sent a code to this number. Please try again later.

MS-CorrelationId: 00000000-20c0-493b-9c51-82467cc47f9f

Code: 40904

I can't seem to fix it and don't receive any SMS code as well. Hope somebody has a solution.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try to resolve this error:

1. Make sure that you are using an actual cell phone, not a Google voice or Twilio number.
2. Make sure that you are including the country code, since it's not always included by default. If your local mobile has a 0 at the start of it, you need to make sure it's included as well.
3. Note that if you had a M365 developer subscription in the past you must wait 90 days before you can open a new one with the same phone number/email account.
4. If you have tried all of these steps and still face this problem, you may need to create a ticket on the subscription support webpage for the developer program.
