I'm having an error when I install Microsoft SQL Server on my Windows 11 Virtual Machine.

Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe) Exit code (Decimal). -2147467259. Error description: Unknown error (0xe0000235). Hope you can help. Pleaseeeeeeee

When encountering the following error during SQL Server installation, it is important to check the error log to obtain the specific and informative error message.

To identify the cause of the issue, you can refer to the SQL Server error log located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MSSQLSQLSERVER07\MSSQL\LOG\ERRORLOG.

This log file contains important details about the startup process and any errors encountered during installation.

In the file where you found the summary file, there is a file detail.txt, which is likely to give information about the error.

Hi @Tracy,

Please provide the error log so that we could get more details.

In addition, if you are install SQL Server2022 in Win11, there is a known issue about errors related to system disk sector size greater than 4 KB.
