Azure SQL VM | Backup | Discover DBs not discovering anything

Hello,

I have a Windows VM that was created as a stand-alone server, later SQL 2019 was installed, Azure informed me I could use the new SQL backup features, so I registered it with my vault. I can see the server and SQL instances but I cannot discover any DBs. Auto protect is set to ON.

I have checked SQL permissions and can confirm NT Service\AzureWLBackupPluginSvc has the sysadmin server role.

Why can I not discover any on the DBs hosted on the server?

@Andrew Ford Sorry for the delay in response to your question.

Auto protect automatically backs up all the databases in the instance, so you won't be able to individually manage the databases. You’ll need to turn this off if you want to discover the databases.

Azure Backup can automatically protect SQL databases in Azure VM through auto-protect | Azure Blog | Microsoft Azure

    Regards,
