Managing state of dev portal

Hi,

We can extend portal functionality by customizing widgets and adding custom HTML. How do we introduce non-breaking API changes when user can edit the dev portal via the web page and commit code changes via customization?

    Linda Zhou Thanks for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A. Based on my understanding, you have created (or modified) a custom HTML code or widgets and deployed to the developer portal via admin interface. Would like to understand the best way to manage the state so that the users of the developer portal can start seeing the changes. Correct?

    The changes made to the developer portal (and saved) are not visible to the users/visitors unless you Republish the portal. The ideal way is to validate all the changes made in the portal and after validation, republish it from either developer portal via admin interface or azure portal.
