Hello,
This may be an indication of a corrupted file in the system. I would recommend first to run a health check with DISM:
- Perform a DISM health check and repair: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/repair-a-windows-image?view=windows-11
Then, in order to reset and repair the components related, try the next:
-Reset Language Settings:
1.Try resetting your language settings to their default state:
2.Open "Settings" by pressing Win + I.
3.Go to "Time & Language" > "Language."
4.Under "Preferred languages," select your language (e.g., English).
5.Click "Options."
6,Under "Keyboards," remove any added keyboards or input methods.
7.Restart your computer and try adding the "Basic Typing" functionality again.
-Remove Language and Add It Back:
1.Remove the English language from your language list and then add it back:
2.Go to "Time & Language" > "Language" as described in the previous step.
3.Under "Preferred languages," select your language (e.g., English).
4.Click "Remove."
5.Restart your computer.
6.After restarting, add the English language back and check if the "Basic Typing" functionality can be installed.
