I need help.
Mobile Internet Connection Issue
Hello Microsoft Support Team,
I Fatih Uzunkaya, a computer programmer using both Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. I use my computer for programming and developing electronic devices, and during this process, I require a stable internet connection.
The issue I'm facing can be summarized as follows:
- My computer can normally use mobile internet without any issues.
- However, when I connect a specific device to my computer via an ethernet port for programming purposes, my mobile internet connection gets disconnected.
- The devices I connect to my computer via ethernet are typically used for non-internet dependent programs, and I need the ethernet connection to support my development and programming tasks.
- When I connect my computer to such a device in this way, I expect my mobile internet connection to remain active because I need to be online both during development tasks and when internet access is necessary.
I have tried various troubleshooting steps, including testing this issue on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 as well as on three different computers with the same result. Additionally, I performed a clean reinstall of Windows on my computer to rule out any software-related issues, and the problem persists.
I kindly request your assistance in resolving this problem. Being able to use my computer with both mobile internet and an ethernet connection is crucial for efficiently carrying out my programming tasks. If you could provide any solutions or recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.

On your primary network connection, give it an interface metric of 1. On the wired ethernet connection, give it a metric of 100.
If that doesn't work, then you will need to run the route command to tell Windows which network interface to route the traffic to.

2023-10-03T13:50:04.8966667+00:00 I tried what you said, but it didn't work. The mobile network is getting disconnected directly.
Windows prioritizes wired network connection over mobile network, and it cuts off the mobile network connection when an Ethernet cable is plugged in. I believe the issue can only be resolved by changing the group policy.
