Hi,

My SharePoint online search results page shows documents related to multiple projects...

I have been asked to change the search results so that the documents are shown AS WELL AS "Ref" and pipeline number....

This extra info is in document library columns...

How can the document and these 2 bits of info that are in the document library as columns also be shown?

Thanks!

    Hi @SteveH,

Do you want to show column values of the documents in the search page like below?

    User's image

As per my knowledge, it is currently impossible in SharePoint Online by OOTB. We suggest that you request this feature by sending us feedback for our developers to be aware and consider this in the future developments.

I would provide this alternative to you. You can build a search center for your tenant. Then you can try this: SharePoint Online: Add Metadata to Search Results Page to add metadata properties (or custom columns) to the search results page. This is based on classic search experience. I'm not sure if you like it.

Additionally, it is possible for you to search by column values of the documents. To achieve this, you can map the document library columns to refinable managed properties and then configure the search results web part to display those managed properties. Reference: Manage the search schema in SharePoint.
