Migrate from Hardware based Active Dir Server to Virtual Active dir server

I have an Active Directory server / Fileserver w/ Rackspace. I would like to migrate it to an Azure virtual server mapping the users form the Rackspace server the Users I already have in my Office365 account preserving the file server folder permissions.

Is this possible.
