Has anyone else seen this IIS Binding bug?

Recently while using both IIS 8.0 and IIS 10.0 we have found a peculiar bug.

When removing a site from the IIS we stopped the Site from the IIS window then removed the directory. Returning to the IIS window we clicked "Content View" under the same stopped site. IIS threw an error.

After the error the certificate binding for that site (and consequently any site on the same port) was removed, temporarily causing a service outage.

After simply re-binding the certificate to the site on port 443 service was restored, but now you know.

Anyone else see this?

You might have just observed an unhandled exception that breaks HTTP API settings unexpectedly. You can achieve what you wanted by writing some simple PowerShell scripts, so that IIS Manager won't be there in your way.
