Load testing POST request with JMeter getting 500 error

I'm trying to set up load testing (for the very first time) for a containerized Web App that uses a JMeter script to call a specific POST request. I was able to get it working when calling a GET request, but my POST just returns a 500 server error and I'm not sure why.

I know it's not a problem with the function itself because:

  1. I put a logging statement as the very first line of the function and it isn't being called,
  2. and when I set the log level to trace in my host.json I see that the invocation request is getting sent but no response comes back.

That looks to me like there's a problem with how I'm making the API call and therefore with my JMeter script.

Here is my script. Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

In your JMeter script, you have defined "Accept" and "Content-Type" headers, which are common for JSON-based APIs. Ensure they are correctly set and that there are no typos.

I ended up capturing the calls I wanted with JMeter recording. The format of the resulting script was just different enough that I still can't pinpoint what was going wrong with posts but not gets, but using the new script is working.
