Accessing a 2nd level nested array element in dotliquid Json to Json transform step throws undefined, undefined error

Accessing all array elements nested at 2nd level throws "undefined,undefined" error and workflow execution stops. Are nested arrays supported in dotliquid templates? They seems to be supported in the ROR version of liquid templates. The field names are simple and cannot be the case of "casing" or "naming conventions".
