Hi

I am using Outlook included in the Microsoft 365 suite.

I created a custom view for incoming folders and set it as the default view for all folders created.

Now, when I create a new folder, its view remains the compact view and not my own. How come?

Thanks

Bye

    Hi @Balubeto Balubeto

I created a custom view for incoming folders and set it as the default view for all folders created. Now, when I create a new folder, its view remains the compact view and not my own.

Based on my testing, you may need to manually apply your custom view to the appropriate folder. For this Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders option, your custom settings are populated in all folder view settings. However, it is still the default view and requires you to manually apply this view setting.

    Here are the test steps:

Create a new view set named 'New view'.

Apply view settings to all folders.

The symptom is that there is 'New view' in the view settings for all folders, but it is still the default view.

    Hope this helps!
