Android Teams App infinite login loop when 2FA is enabled

I'm using Teams for home/family and it is working fine on my PC. But after installing the Android Teams app, when the app opens it enters an infinite loop trying to login. This entirely prevents me from using this app. This is clearly a major blocking bug which Microsoft needs to fix.

Please do not ask me to try deleting caches, re-installing, temporarily disabling 2FA, etc. You know plain well that no new user should have to bother with any of those things (unless Microsoft's expected user experience for Teams is actually that horrible, really?). I'm not willing to do any of that... this issue should simply be fixed so that all the effected users need to do is try again after the fix has been released.
