How to include Workflow Images for Project Online Enterprise Project Type

Hello,

This was originally posted in Microsoft Community, but I was asked to post here.

I have an issue with getting new images associated with one of my enterprise project types. In the attached pictures you can see a custom image that was built which will then update as the project progresses through the many stages (picture 1). I have created a new enterprise project type along with a new workflow. The project advances through the stages correctly but none of the new images added populate into the workflow status section (picture 2). The previous admin for the site had created the original workflow with images but did not provide documentation on how to do it. I feel like i'm missing a step of associating the new images with the workflow/stages but cant figure out where (either in the workflow in sharepoint designer, workflow stages in PWA settings, etc). I located the existing images for the original enterprise project type in a folder within the PWA site contents under workflow images and have placed the new images in a new folder within the same area (picture 3).

Anyone potentially able to point me in the right direction? Thank you.

In the Microsoft community site it was asked about using SharePoint designer by selecting the stage and assigning the new image from the menu ribbon. The other ask was to use PWA settings and go to the stage to associate the images there. However, pursing these routes i still wasn't able to see anywhere in how to associate the images. My response to those routes is below:

Thank you for your response. However, i'm not finding anything in either of the solutions a place to edit the images, unless i'm overlooking something.

SharePoint Designer route - following this route and opening the stage ribbon. I scrolled down to 'Stage settings' which took me to the PWA stage settings. I didn't have an option for choosing an image. Under the views option there is listed 'visual designer' but when selecting it it states that i need Visio installed, since i don't have it installed could this be an issue?

PWA Settings Route - When going into the stage i do not see any option for associating an image with the stage. Below are the choices i see within the stage settings.
