How to fix Microsoft Telcodata generator lab?

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that Microsoft's Telcogenerator.zip file is not work.

Its not generating data once it used to when endpoint is been updated in the .exe config file.

please look into the matter.

When you say "Its not generating data once it used to when endpoint is been updated in the .exe config file." are you experiencing any error message? If yes, please do share the error message details?

Meanwhile, you may checkout the Can't connect TelcoGenerator APP with event hub which addressing similar issue.

@Ahad Sanji - Thanks for sharing the error message. From the error message it looks like the argument entityName is null or empty.

Before you start the TelcoGenerator app, you should configure it to send data to the Azure Event Hubs you created earlier.

I did the same, made changes to the .exe file or config file. I have given event hub namespace and event hub instance name as a value then pasted the endpoint for send-policy and removed entity name as it no longer required because i have already mentioned the entity in value, then i saved it, i have this lab ample of times however, this is the first time I am facing this issue. Could you please share a ScreenShot with me so i can try the same so this lab would start working.

I was trying the same exact step however, let me try again the same steps..I was making changes to the notepad only..but let me try and update you again. Thanks for the concern.

@Ahad Sanji - Here are the steps which I followed from the official MS documentation and able to successfully run the event generator application without any issue.

Here is the TelcoGenerator\TelcoGenerator\telcodatagen.exe.config file in a text editor.

And able to successfully run the event generator application without any issue.
