We found the issue to be. There was a text box field in the vfp app that held phone numbers and every time an employee gave focus to this box windows 11 attempted to do something with the phone number and it killed the app. We ended up disabling in group policy "Phone-PC Linking on this device" and it stopped our issue
Visual Fox Pro made apps randomly close on windows 11 computers.
Good morning everyone!
We have recently installed Windows 11 on 15 new Dell OptiPlex SFF 7010 machines, with Visual FoxPro (VFP) apps. We have noticed that 2 out of 4 users testing the computers have VFP apps closing randomly. In the event logs we see the error's
and we also get the error stating "This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain ******** due to the following: We can't sign you in with this credential because your domain isn't available. Make sure your device is connected to your organization's network and try again. If you previously signed in on this device with another credential, you can sign in with that credential. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator.
ADDITIONAL INFO If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in the specified domain. Otherwise, this computer sets up the secure session to any domain controller in the specified domain." We receive similar errors on the other 2 computers that don't shutdown VFP app, so I am wondering if anyone has had this issue knows a fix. I feel its not in the event logs seeing all computer have similar errors.
