    You can take the AZ-305 exam without having the AZ-104 cert but you won't receive the certification for AZ-305.

    In order to receive the certification you'll have to pass AZ-104 as well.

    The order you take the exams doesn't seem to matter.

    Hi,

    You can take AZ-305 exam, however, you will not earn Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification until you also have the prerequisite Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification.

    My AZ-104 expired in July 2023 and in January I cleared my AZ-305. Do I need to appear again AZ-104 to earn AZ-305 certificate.
