Share Compute Gallery (ACG/SGI) with Management Groups

Hello!

I'm evaluating Azure, as a solutions architect with experience in AWS, and one thing I'm looking at right now is sharing Azure Compute Gallery(ies) to certain Management groups, instead of specifying individual subscriptions. In the AWS world that would be sharing Amazon Machine Image(s) (AMIs) to organization unit(s).

I'm struggling to see how something similar can be achieved in Azure, as when trying to add a role assignment to the ACG, selecting the managed identity option, you can lookup managed identities under specific subscriptions, instead of being able to share it across subscriptions under a management group.

Is there a recommended pattern in Azure to achieve this?

    Hi

correct, you can share ACG's across multiple subscriptions (limit of 30) or tenants (limit of 5) but not Management Groups.

I'm sure you've seen this already, but linking again:

Hope this helps (or not as the case may be!)

    Thanks
